On November 24th, Social Report will introduce changes with respect to how we manage timezones
IMPORTANT: There is nothing you need to do. This change will simply offer you more flexibility. This change will not impact any of your existing reports and publications.
Currently it works like this: users have timezone settings. Therefore if your timezone is set to Eastern Standard - all of your data will be presented to your in that timezone. This includes - timezone used during publishing, timezone of reports, etc.
The new model will be project centric. Timezone will be set at a project level. We will also allow users to change that project level timezone setting (temporarily or permanently).
Example. Let's say you help manage social media for couple of clients who are located in London and Tokyo while you are situated in Dallas. Each project will get their own timezones - this way when you go to these project to publish or to run reports you don't get the reports in CST (Dallas time) but rather in London and Tokyo time respectively.
Once you click on the timezone to change it, you can make an appropriate select in the popup
If you a project owner, you can change default timezone for the entire project and all users by going to Settings > General
If you have any questions about this change - please let us know!
